The short version
anoli stores what you save so it can show it back to you and to the people you share a folder with. It does not sell your data, run adverts, or track you across other apps and websites.
What we store
- The links, text and notes you share into anoli, and the folders, tags and notes you add.
- Public details about links you save, such as the title, caption, author and thumbnail that the source website exposes.
- Labels describing images you share, produced on your iPhone. The images themselves stay on your device, unless you put one in a folder shared with someone else, in which case a small copy is uploaded so they can see it.
- A random account identifier, the app version, and when you last used the app. anoli does not ask for your name, email or phone number. A name and an emoji you choose are shown to people you share folders with.
- Whether you have an active anoli Pro subscription and when it ends, reported by your iPhone. Apple handles the payment; anoli never sees your card details.
How we use it
To save and sort your items, to suggest a folder for a new save, to make summaries you ask for, to show shared folders to their members, and to keep the service reliable. When anoli is unsure which folder an item belongs in, the public text of the item may be sent to an AI model to decide. That text is not used to train the model.
Who else sees it
Hosting and database providers store the data on our behalf. The AI model provider receives the text of items that need sorting or summarising. People you share a folder with see the items in that folder and your chosen name and emoji. Nobody else.
Your choices
In Settings you can export everything anoli holds for you or delete your account and all its data. Deleting removes it from our servers straight away. Leaving a shared folder removes your items from it.
Children
anoli is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will tell you.
